New Officers Inducted to Loudoun Human Services Network
Leesburg, VA – January 14, 2022 – The Loudoun Human Services Network starts the new year with newly elected officers chosen from its ranks of nonprofit leaders.
A coalition of more than fifty nonprofit human service organizations, the Loudoun Human Services Network’s mission is to promote collaboration and partnership among human service organizations, and to advocate for the availability and access to human services for Loudoun County residents. The LHSN recently elected new officers to lead the coalition for the next two years after a successful tenure of its outgoing officers.
Jennifer Montgomery, CEO of Loudoun Hunger Relief and past chair of LHSN, passed the torch to Valerie Pisierra, Executive Director of Loudoun Cares, who was elected to serve as the coalition’s new chair beginning January 2022.
“In Loudoun, our nonprofits have worked so hard in the last two years to provide essential safety net human services for our residents. We recognize the value of collaboration among our nonprofits, government partners and funders,” said Montgomery. “Valerie and the other officers will do an excellent job leading this cross-sectoral collaboration which allows us to amplify the impact of the work we all do addressing human service needs.”
Nicole Morris, Executive Director of Women Giving Back, was elected to serve the role as vice chair; Jennifer Smith, Director of US Programs INMED , was elected to serve as treasurer; and Andrea Eck, Executive Vice President of Programs at Northern Virginia Family Service, was re-elected to continue serving as the coalition’s secretary.
“I am extremely honored to lead this amazing group of nonprofits as we all focus on one common goal – helping those in need,” said Pisierra. “As we have seen in the past great things can occur when we all work together as a community. This kind of collaboration fosters solutions to challenges that our neighbors face every day.”

“LHSN’s cohesive response during time of crisis (like the pandemic!) meant we were able to better serve our community initially and for the long haul. Also, our comprehensive voice and advocacy with local government has created systemic changes to improve our community’s safety net services.”
